I've Been busy finishing up work on The Smurfs movie at Sony Animation. I've had such a great experience on this film, the crew is fantastic, I'm learning so much everyday and I am disappointed it's coming to an end in a few weeks! I came onto the project in late November about half way through production, with very little 3d knowledge and I feel fortunate to have learned and worked with the super talented folks here in Vancouver! Check out the trailer HERE
On another note, I just signed up for the Stephen Silver character design course and start in early June, I am very excited! Here are some Cafe scribbles and a character I've recently begun to flesh out for a dialogue test! All feedback is most definately welcome!

Can't wait to see your 3D scenes on the big screen in August!
Your sketches are looking amazing as usual... especially your new character. Can't wait to see what character designs you come up with after taking your Stephan Silver course. Keep up the good work!

Trent! Dude awesome stuff, It's so cool to see you constantly improving, It's really inspiring! I'm lovin the old guy, I was thinking what might help is to maybe simplify his eyes just a little bit? Just so when he does make those beautiful facial expressions you have going, it'll be instantly readable, and just less for you to worry about y'know? kinda like this maybe? https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-izEW7hj4VUU/TXHKlv8b6YI/AAAAAAAAA50/vHluvwwDkmw/s1600/design06.jpg
