"Attack of the 50ft Hero"
Hey! These are some character concepts I did while working on "Attack of the 50ft Hero" last summer. The top page is the final design and turn around, I collaborated on the main character with the talented Sierra Lewis, she came up with some gorgeous conceptual work and has an excellent design sense. The second page is full of monster sketches I did while searching for the right design and story. I'm very happy with the design we choose based off Sierra's original drawing, he was great fun to animate, I'll post some line tests in the coming months. For now, the film will be doing the festival circuit.
12 weeks of animation left on Frozen!

Animation!
Animation Reel from trent correy on Vimeo.
Hey all! It's been a long time since I've posted any animation. I've been super fortunate to work on a lot of great projects in the past year, and for the first time I have a full CG reel. Included is some work I did on Nickelodeons TMNT series, some work from Sony Pictures Imageworks on the Smurfs, and most recently some work I've completed at Disney Feature Animation in the Talent Development program. I am currently working as an Apprentice Animator on Disney's next feature "Frozen" due out in November 2013.
Thanks!

Boards
Here are some rough and dirty boards I did for the short film titled "Attack of the 50 ft Hero". Myself and 12 other students/professionals worked on the classically animated shortfilm under the guidance of Master Animator Eric Goldberg; whom I now have the great pleasure of working down the hall from. These boards were discarded, so the final film looks nothing like this...thank god!
Last but not least, some old boards I dug up from Jimmy Two Shoe's: season 2. These were done for a 1 minute vignette, and I'm not sure if it ever actually got animated...
This was my first job doing boards ( September 2009); I did clean-up, revisions and boarded the vignette, working under the super talented duo of Kyle Marshall and Steve Lambe.Well, I guess I'm retirering from boards and 2d animation for a bit, and focusing my efforts in CG animation for the next while. Thanks for checking out the blog, and for all the support! Anyone still read this thing? More posts to come in 2013, Happy Holidays!!!

Character Sketches
Hey!
Been super busy these days. I started a new job at Disney Feature Animation as a CG Animator in the talent development program. Been here a month now and I am still in shock!
These are some sketches from the summer, that give a sneak peak of the shortfilm that I collaborated on with 12 other animators, which was mentored by Eric Goldberg. This particular character was a collaboration with Sierra Lewis, and these are some studies I did with pen and marker to establish his character and style!
Anyone going to CTN? Drop me a line!

2D/3D Animation
Hey! Long time no post, it's bee a crazy Summer!!! I can't show any of the "work" stuff I'm doing, but I've had an exciting 6 months working on Nickelodeons "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and now working under Eric Goldberg on a 2D shortfilm. For now, here's a little work in progress dialogue piece I've been working on, trying to merge 3D and 2D. Enjoy the last chunk of summer!

Eric Goldberg Master Class...
I feel very fortunate to have been accepted into Eric Goldbergs Master Class, what an amazing opportunity to learn from one of the modern masters of animation. I will be moving down to Laguna Beach, California for the summer months to join the other students in the collaborative 2d short film.
More posting to come!!!
